John 20:24-25 KJV
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

Devotional Message:
Trust Thomas. Remember him? He said to The Lord, they do not know where He is going, so how can they know the way? Today, he is known as “doubting Thomas”, for it was him that refused to believe that Christ had risen and appeared to the other disciples as he was not present at the time. Thomas needed to see and touch Jesus to convince himself of this truth.
Is this not the way many of us Believers are today? We need to be convinced first by the physical or natural evidence before we can believe. In these trying times, do we have the faith to believe in what is Written or do we rely on what we see going on in this world? Are the lies and deceit all around us more powerful than The Almighty GOD, who created heaven and earth and all that is within it? Just because we see it, does it mean it is real? OR … Just because we do not see it, does it mean it is false? Paul says we “grow our Faith”.
Being a “doubting Thomas” is not altogether a bad thing, it is at the very least a starting point.
Life is a series of progressions. We start at a point; we move a little further to another point and from there we progress to another. After a while, the starting point seems so far removed because we have progressed to a higher level with a deeper understanding.
The bad news… If we do not progress, we remain stagnant, stuck in the same place. Remaining stagnant is not an option for a Believer. The hunger to know more about our purpose on this earth should be a driving factor to get to know our Father in Heaven in an intimate and private way.
The fact that others are experiencing GOD the Father, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Spirit in their lives does not mean that you are forgotten or abandoned. It simply means that they have taken the time to get to know HIM and to grow their relationship with HIM. When this happens, Faith replaces doubt, and you are one step closer to knowing more of HIM.
Be Blessed.
His Greatness is within you.
